Once upon a sidewalk…
I’ve been working with kids and adults with Autism for over twenty years now. Once upon a sidewalk in my high school days, as I stood up from crashing matchbox cars with a neighbor kid, his mom grabbed my arm:
“You have to come work for me. He’s never looked anyone in the eye before. He has Autism.”
Thus began my life-long journey into the field of neurodivergence. Followed by a bachelor’s degree from Emory University and fifteen years of frontline experience, I am now a Board Certified Behavior Analyst here in Los Angeles. But it’s all still more of a calling than a career to me.
I have a strong philosophy of leaning into learning.
If you are a true-blue Dodger fan, what a great way to learn statistics. Love to cook? Can’t do it without planning and prioritization. Obsessed with trains? How’s your time management? Learning can happen anywhere. And should happen everywhere.
